JOB TYPE: Permanent full-time

SCHEDULE: Day, Evening, Weekend, Rotation, 8 and 12-hour shifts. Work schedule may be changed to meet operational needs.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS: Bilingual essential

JOB SUMMARY:

The incumbent reports to the manager and recreologist. It provides social, recreational and educational activities to promote or maintain the maximum level of independence and activation for hospital patients

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school graduation or general education diploma (GED) plus an additional program in the field of human services or social sciences of over six months and up to one year or equivalent;
• Mental health experience would be an asset;
• Experience in crafts, education, recreation or public relations would be an asset;
• Good knowledge of computer tools and office automation applications and ability to use them;

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
• Physical ability to perform the assigned work;
• Good work history (performance and attendance);
• Adherence to professional ethical principles, to the Network's management philosophy and to organizational values;
• Compliance with the rules of confidentiality set by Vitalité Health Network.
