We require individuals who are capable of physically demanding labour, are safety conscious and comfortable in an industrial environment. We are interested in those who have a solid work ethic, maintains a positive attitude and is a strong team player. The successful candidate will be required to safely operate the Hawkeye P3 machine in the dry cast plant on a rotating basis. A strong work ethic, teamwork and flexibility with work hours are required to achieve operational goals, including set productivity targets.

Qualifications and responsibilities (include, but not limited to)

• Work in a safety-sensitive environment
• Understand and willing to learn the operation of the batching system.
• Be a safe and competent overhead crane operator or actively and responsibly work towards obtaining overhead travelling crane license or possess license.
• Pay attention to detail.
• Take pride in the quality of their work.
• Able to work efficiently within a team.
• Be a self-starter and work with minimum supervision.
• Be reliable, punctual, and takes initiative and ownership of their work.
• Perform cleaning and preventative maintenance on the equipment.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly and 80 lbs. occasionally.
• Other duties, as required based on business needs.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities required:

• Large crane experience
• Completion of grade 12 education or equivalent
• Aptitude for balancing safety as the priority with the demands of production
• Ability to lift, pull and pull 50+ lbs. regularly and safely.
• Ability to climb ladders regularly and safely.
• Ability to operate heavy machinery.
• Able to stand for long periods of time and complete repetitive work (repetitive overhead reaching/ movements)
• Positive attitude and motivated to contribute to high production effort.
• Mechanically inclined with an aptitude for problem solving and troubleshooting would be considered an asset.
• Strong team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
• Willingness to work overtime as required during peak season.
• Hardworking, high integrity takes ownership.

Please note: This is a full-time permanent position. Hours of work: Monday to Friday - 40 hours per week with opportunity for overtime.
