Job Information and Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Manager, Maintenance & Operations, the Electrician will:
- Establish and perform preventative maintenance routines, and performs troubleshooting and repair to electrical, security clock, and fire alarm systems.
- Work closely with any outside agency that is required to perform work on the above noted systems. Uses any such collaboration to enhance knowledge and troubleshooting expertise.
- Assist other maintenance staff in PM, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical, security, and fire alarm systems and associated equipment.
- Establish a good working knowledge of all electrical, security, and fire alarm schematics, drawings, and control logics within the complex.
- Attend training sessions to keep up with technological changes in electrical and fire alarm systems.
- Perform other duties related to the above.

Experience and Education Requirements
To be the successful Electrician you will have:
- Certified Electrical Tradesperson with two (2) years related experience in construction or maintenance.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to perform all duties in a safe manner, following health and safety legislation and all required safe work practices and procedures, in order to minimize the risk of injury and property damage.
- Ability to communicate effectively in a positive manner conveying and responding to information.
- Ability to interact with customers in a positive working relationship.
- Ability to work alone and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
- Ability to take initiative in completing tasks with minimal instruction.
