Full Packaging Manta Operator on Shift A

Training requirements: On the job training

Purpose: To Operate equipment in Cold Storage Grading Area

To clean the Frozen Grading Area and surrounding areas

Training requirements: When selected to work in this area a senior operator that currently performs the job will train the individual. The training will last as long as it takes for the new employee to become adapted to the duties in that area. The current Operator and Supervisor are responsible to estimate when this training has become complete, and the new employee is capable of performing all tasks that are assigned.

Job responsibilities:

  • Each Operator will be responsible for Frozen Grading area and production line cleanliness, and other assigned areas as required.
  • To complete any tests, checks or inventory as required by Fry Plant Supervision
  • To break other operators (Lift Truck Driver) for scheduled breaks or as required.
  • Maintain an acceptable level of cleanliness in their assigned area by use of a water hose and chemicals (after chemical training is received).
  • Follow GMP's.
  • Advises supervision of any safety issues within their work environment.
  • Actively looks for ways to improve plant sanitation.
  • Actively look for ways to improve overall receiving area operation.
  • All other duties as assigned by Fry Plant Shift Supervisor.
  • WMS/SAP Receive or issue out products in real time (totes/Pallets) from our systems for inventory accuracy.

Daily Duties:

  • Grade the French fries once they come out of the freezing tunnel for the lengths.
  • Dumping product on the fry line or by line to re-blend it.
  • Make sure all of the vibrators and screens are in good working condition.
  • Receive product totes with WMS/SAP with the lifter.
  • Change screen when the fry length is too short or too long.
  • Clean up in-between in the cold room grading area when time permits.
  • Make sure the screen on the vibrators is clean when there is a break in the line.

NOTE: This description constitutes the minimum requirements for the Packaging Screen Manta Position. Other duties may be assigned at Management's discretion.
