Salary: $37,851 per annum (SEIU Administrative Assistant 2). Salary increases to $42,187 following successful completion of 6-month probation period.

Responsibilities

Acadia seeks an Administrative Assistant in the Office of Advancement - Alumni Affairs to receive visitors, calls and other contacts to the department and to provide informed responses to inquiries or refer as appropriate.

In addition, the incumbent will update databases and mailing lists, conduct basic research, coordinate meetings and travel schedules, complete expense claims, and prepare correspondence which often includes mass mail-outs.

The incumbent will be required to assist in the set-up and pack-up for a variety of special events for both the Alumni and Development Offices. This will require occasional overtime on evenings and weekends as events are scheduled.

Qualifications
  • We are seeking a candidate who has proven experience delivering a high level of client service and demonstrated ability to think clearly, resolve issues and maintain a high level of confidentiality.

  • Completion of a recognized program in either office or business administration, combined with related work experience is required.

  • Demonstrated ability to work to a high level of accuracy and be flexible to regularly changing priorities is necessary.

  • Applicants must be highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications. Experience with database management is necessary; familiarity with Ellucian's Colleague Advancement database would be considered an asset.
