Instructor, Social Service Community Worker

This is a Term employment opportunity, for the period of September 2023 to June 2026, located at Tobique First Nations (Neqotkuk).

• Two-year diploma or degree in social sciences or related discipline
• Recent and related work experience in the field of social sciences
• Preference may be given to candidates who have experience teaching in a post- secondary environment in a blended delivery format
• Preference may be given to candidates who have a minimum of five (5) years of recent and related experience in the field of social sciences.
• Preference may be given to those registered with the New Brunswick Association of Social Workers
• Preference may be given to candidates with knowledge of Indigenous cultures, communities, customs, practices and communication styles
• Highly flexible with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to navigate and build relationships effectively throughout the organization.
• Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality.
• Self-motivated, service and results oriented.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively independently and within a team.
• A desire for continuous learning and growth.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.

Other combinations of education and experience may be considered as equivalent. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be raised.

• A competitive salary range of bi-weekly salary $2,058.00 to $2,900.00. Successful candidates may be eligible for a higher maximum step, up to $3,167.00, based on their level of post-secondary education.
