Salary range: $44,460.97 to $49,448.06 annually
This is a remote work opportunity. You must have a suitable work from home office space and be within commuting distance to any of NSCC's physical campuses. The successful candidate will have all computing requirements (computer, monitors, etc.) provided to their home office.
Working in a team environment and reporting to the Academic Chair, Early Childhood Education Accelerated Diploma Program, you will:
- Provide a full range of administrative support services to the Academic Chair, emphasizing superior customer service to all clients, students, staff and the public.
- Provide basic administrative support such as booking meetings and assisting students with questions.
- Assist the Academic Chair with scheduling, calendar management, supporting faculty, maintaining an online filing system, and maintaining program files, as well as general office support as required.
Qualifications and Occupational Experience:
- The minimum educational qualification for this position is a post-secondary certificate or diploma in business or office administration. High school completion with significant years of administrative experience (10+) will also be considered.
- You have a minimum of three years (full-time equivalent) of recent and related occupational experience in a fast-paced office environment.
- Experience in the Education sector would be considered an asset.
- Experience supporting a team online would be considered an asset.
- Occupational experience that includes working in PeopleSoft would be considered an asset.
- You are familiar with and comfortable using computer applications such as the Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft OneNote, and email.
- You are comfortable working in a digital environment; you take responsibility for acquiring knowledge about advancing technology, and you are committed to using technology in advancing your work
- Experience in training/facilitation preparation, delivery and evaluation would be considered an asset.
- Experience supporting/providing service to students and prospective students would be considered an asset.
