Auxiliary Volunteer Location: Dr. G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital
The Dr. G.B. Hospital is seeking interested individuals to become members of their Auxiliary. Since 1986. The Dr. G.B. Auxiliary has supported residents, staff and the community through the provision of volunteer services and fundraising activities that support the purchase of medical equipment and the delivery of quality resident care. Recent fundraising efforts have supported the purchase of resident comfort items such as televisions, bed and wheel/speciality/visitor chairs.
Specific activities of Auxiliary volunteers may include:
" Operating the Dr. G.B. Cross Hospital gift Shop
" Participating in fundraising activities, such as bake/book/ticket sales
" Participating in Auxiliary meetings
" Providing Night lunches to patients
Auxiliary volunteers should have effective and courteous verbal and non-verbal communication skills; be self-motivated and have a willingness and ability to work independently and as a team player; and be comfortable and confident interacting in a busy health care environment and in new social situations.
As with all volunteer positions, a satisfactory certificate of conduct is required as well as compliance to health screening policies.
