Family Service of Eastern Nova Scotia is a non-profit organization governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. For over 52 years, we have social work services throughout Nova Scotia.

Qualifications: Our Organization is seeking individuals with a Bachelor of Social Work degree who have experience working with families. These positions are professional salaried jobs with benefit packages and are full-time beginning in July 2023. The workers will work in a team environment while creating a flex schedule that involves evenings tand weekends to meet the needs of the families.
Position Requirements: Reporting to the Director of Professional Services, the Families Plus Social Worker is responsible for delivering the Families Plus program which is an intensive home-based client centered program. Skills required for the position include, but are not limited to child development, knowledge of community resources, knowledge of child welfare system, trauma and violence informed support, and parenting.
Persons considered for this position must have membership in good standing with their professional regulatory association, a clear police background check, and a clear child abuse registry check, and a driver's license.
