Mariner Innovations is seeking a Network Architect (term opportunity) specialized in Wi-Fi and Edge Networking to join our professional services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust and efficient network infrastructure solutions, with a focus on Wi-Fi technologies and edge networking. Your expertise in network architecture, security and performance optimization will be crucial in delivering reliable and scalable connectivity solutions for our customers. The Network Architect will also need to deeply understand the customer environment, including the technical infrastructure, business and operations processes, key business challenges and priorities.


  • Oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise-level Wi-Fi Infrastructure.
  • Define standard and guidelines for Wi-Fi deployment, including access points, controllers, authentication mechanisms and monitoring tools.
  • Design/Redesign, build redundancy and develop comprehensive network architecture plans and strategies, specifically focused on edge networking, aligned with business objectivities and industry best practices.
  • Ensure scalability, reliability, and security in the network design.
  • Develop the technology infrastructure assessment and design in accordance with business requirements.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of existing network infrastructure to identify areas for improvement and propose innovative solutions.


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven work experience as a Network Architect, Network Engineer, or a similar role with a focus on Wi-Fi and edge networking.
  • Experience architecting and deploying NAC solutions (Cisco and/or Aruba).
  • Expertise in Wi-Fi standards and protocols, such WPA/WPA2, and Wi-Fi security best practices.
  • Working knowledge of Fortinet firewalls, SD-WAN, and Security Domains.
  • Strong knowledge of network architecture principles, protocols, and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing/switching.
  • Understanding of broadband technology and associated Business support systems.
  • Proficient in network monitoring and management tools, such as Wireshark, SNMP, and network analyzers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues effectively.
