Kelly Cove Salmon Ltd., a division of Cooke Aquaculture Inc., a dynamic and growing east coast family company, with Platinum Member status in the Canada's Best Managed Companies Program has an opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join the Company's Fish Health Team.
The Role:
We are currently looking for a Senior Fish Health Technician to add to our team of professionals. This role requires a high degree of skill in maintaining established standards of safety, quality, and accuracy.
The primary duties include but are not limited to:
- Document control and record keeping of all health data and diagnostics.
- Assess and report water samples (plankton and algae).
- Coordinate sample collection during large scale projects.
- Rotation and documentation of sample archives.
The successful candidate will be an effective team player with the drive, determination, and a self-disciplined approach to achieving results that meet the established criteria. You recognize excellent communication skills are essential to build effective team and organizational relationships. You must be comfortable both working independently and speaking publicly for in-house training. The ideal candidate will possess a secondary education diploma and/or related experience in fish farming and fish health. Preference will be given to candidates with an Aquaculture Technician Certificate or Diploma.
