Moosehead Breweries Limited is Canada's last major brewer still owned by Canadians. Headquartered in Saint John, New Brunswick, the company has been operated by the Oland family since it was established in 1867.


We are currently seeking a Graphic Designer to join our internal creative team at Moosehead Breweries' either at our head office in Saint John, New Brunswick or remotely. Reporting to the Creative Manager, this individual will work closely with our sales and marketing teams to bring our portfolio of brands to life!


This individual should demonstrate a passion for designing impactful print and digital advertisements, promotional materials, and product packaging. This individual should demonstrate excellent project management skills, can work well independently and with cross functional teams, and applies great attention to detail.

Responsibilities
  • Work with the marketing team to understand unique brand strategies and participate in the creative process by designing a wide variety of advertising including in-store signage, event assets, website assets, social media assets, OOH Billboards, and packaging overlays.
  • Create supporting trade materials for our national sales team at retail and at licensee accounts including product/program sell sheets, brochures, tent cards, in-store and on-premise POS and presentations.
  • Obtain input from managers to ensure that designs meet organizational standards and brand expectations, express ideas accurately, and represent the company appropriately.
  • Examine existing processes, identify flaws, and create solutions that improve design capabilities.
  • Oversee the internal briefing process and review for completeness and quality.
  • Manage relationship with print suppliers and sourcing suppliers as needed.
  • Implement and maintain brand guidelines.
  • Review and proofread material for accuracy.
  • Adhere to project deadlines working within tight timelines, ensuring all content is accurate and delivers against ask/objectives for intended audience.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years in Design, Art or Advertising at a college or university level; AND a minimum of 3-5 years of professional work experience as a Graphic Designer.
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (especially Power point).
  • Experience with print production and ability to prepare a finished project for commercial printing.
  • Strong communications skills, with an ability to express ideas clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines without compromising accuracy or quality.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with a strong attention to detail.
  • Experience in creating photo realistic 3D renderings would be an asset.
  • Experience in packaging design would be an asset.
  • Photography experience and advanced proficiency with photo-editing software would be an asset.
