Salary: To be commensurate with qualifications and experience in the range of $51,594 - $63,187.

Acadia is seeking a Financial Analyst in the department of Financial Services. The position will be involved in many components of financial and management accounting for the university. The role will be actively involved in month-end and year-end activities and in supporting the annual audit by preparing specific working papers and reconciliations.
The role will be involved in the management of the Colleague Financial System and act as a key financial power user. In addition to coordinating training for new Colleague Financial end users, the incumbent will also be responsible for maintaining the general ledger chart of accounts.
The position will be responsible for managing the University credit card program, including setting up new card holders and credit card reporting as required.
Other duties include management of the diploma frames program throughout the year; preparation of ad hoc financial reports and analysis; and assist department heads with budget preparation and submission.
- Completion of a post-secondary program with concentration in accounting/business required.
- Enrolment or being eligible to enroll in the CPA PEP program will be considered an asset.
- Experience with relational database accounting systems will be considered an asset, as well as knowledge of the Colleague Financial System.
- Must be knowledgeable and proficient in the use of computerized accounting systems as well as MS Office programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.
- Experience as a trainer is an asset.
- Excellent judgement and analytical skills are necessary for this role. Demonstrated accuracy and the ability to maintain confidentiality is required.
