The Chapman Group is happy to support one of our amazing clients, CPHRNB Chartered Professionals in Human Resources New Brunswick, in finding a CEO to lead their team. The Chief Executive Officer enables the Board to fulfill its governance function, serve its members and support the growth of the human resources profession. This strategic role works with volunteers, partners, post-secondary institutions, venues, suppliers, sponsors, government, and the board to elevate the HR profession in New Brunswick. Reporting to the CPHR New Brunswick Board, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible for all aspects of the business operations and will work alongside the board of directors to establish a strategic vision for CPHRNB and execute towards that vision.

The successful candidate is a strong relationship builder who knows that our members are our top priority! They have a growth mindset, with the ability to look closely at the operational structures and make changes that allow the board to be fully strategic. The CEO must live within the province of New Brunswick, have the confidence and the ability to redefine services to our members that demonstrate current and future industry trends and best practices.

Note: This role is remote work. There will be occasional travel to meet with our organization's CEO's from other provinces as well as attending our quarterly national board meetings.

Three main areas of ownership are:

  • Delivery of year-on-year growth of membership
  • Development of new services and offerings to our membership
  • High level of member satisfaction and retention
Responsibilities
  • Drive the development and execution of CPHRNB's strategy in the context of all member and stakeholder interests for both the short and long term.
  • Maintain effective relationships with CPHRNB members and stakeholders to further business objectives and resolve issues
  • Optimize member satisfaction through stable, efficient operational service delivery
  • Ensure the successful completion of projects while leading large numbers of volunteers
  • Maintain awareness of the market landscape and HR industry developments
  • Champion change across the association to build scale and enhance service delivery in a growth environment
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ten years of progressive general management with demonstrated competence in the areas of strategic leadership, finance, marketing, people management and client service.
  • A proven record of accomplishment of business growth through results-driven leadership in a role of equivalent scope
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with a broad functional business knowledge and a strong financial acumen
  • The ability to shift from formulating strategy to hands on execution of operational plans
  • A keen decision maker with the ability and willingness to take initiative
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate relationships with multiple stakeholders including members, volunteers, partners, sponsors, and government entities
  • Previous experience working within the not-for-profit sector and/or reporting to a Board of Directors is required

  • Bilingualism (French/English) is considered an asset

  • Willingness and ability to travel 15-25% (Nationally)

Compensation

The salary range for this role is between $80,000-$100,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
