8-hour shift - Monday to Friday
Work schedule may be changed to meet operational needs.

JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the manager of the Clinical Trials Unit, the Research Coordinator – Clinical Trials is responsible for facilitating and coordinating sponsored clinical trials within applicable timelines and regulations. The incumbent interacts with all research sector services and external stakeholders.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master's degree in science, nursing, health sciences or a similar discipline or an equivalent combination of training (at least a bachelor's degree) and experience;
  • At least three years' experience in the health research field within a university setting, medical research facility or hospital setting: an asset;
  • Experience in the coordination and development of research projects or clinical trials;
  • Experience in the drafting and revision of research protocols and in the research ethics board proposal process;
  • Experience in research participant recruiting and data collection;
  • Experience with computers (Microsoft 365);
  • In-depth understanding of the scientific method and clinical research;
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations for research involving humans (e.g., Best Clinical Practice Guidelines, Health Canada, the FDA, and the Tri-Council Policy Statement: Ethical Conduct for Research Involving Humans);
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Physical ability to perform assigned work;
  • Good work history (performance and attendance);
  • Adherence to professional ethics principles, the Network's management philosophy, and organizational values;
  • Compliance with Vitalité Health Network's confidentiality rules.

Written and spoken competence in French and in English are required.
