DEPARTMENT: Laboratory - Phlebotomy

CLASSIFICATION: Phlebotomist (3055)

STATUS: Permanent full-time

FTE: 1.0

ANTICIPATED START DATE: As soon as possible

HOURS OF WORK:

8 and 12-hour shifts - Rotation
Possibility of standby and call back
Work schedule may be changed to meet operational needs.

JOB SUMMARY:

The successful candidate will perform venous and capillary blood procurement.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school graduation plus a Phlebotomy certification of 8 weeks or equivalent;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Physical ability to perform the assigned work;
  • Good work history (performance and attendance);
  • Adherence to professional ethical principles, the Network's management philosophy, and organizational values;
  • Compliance with the rules of confidentiality set by Vitalité Health Network.

Written and spoken competence in French and spoken competence in English are required.

NOTES:

  1. The successful candidate may be asked to travel to the Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital and to the phlebotomy clinic in Dieppe.
