Critical Qualifications
  • Educational background in computer, software or electronics engineering, ideally with specialization in networking
  • A strong fundamental understanding of IP/MPLS/Ethernet protocols.
  • Excellent architectural knowledge of Bell's core networks and services
  • Solid knowledge of Bell's Network teams and processes
  • Extensive experience in working with iterative development through Agile & DevOps methodologies
  • Proven track record for collaboration and cross-domain partnering
  • Networking certification (e.g. CCIE or JNCIE) or equivalent practical experience is an asset

The Broadband and IP Core Network Architecture and Technology team, within Network's Operations Services and Core Network organization, is committed to providing reliable and innovative solutions to deliver the best experience and performance for our customers.

Supported by the Senior Manager of Broadband and IP Core Network Architecture and Technology, the successful candidates will develop the architecture and support the operationalization/engineering of new Broadband and IP technologies for Bell's Next Generation Network, which includes the NGCore, NGEdge and IP/Optical Integration initiatives. More specifically, we are looking for network architects for the following domains: End-to-End Network/Services and BRAS/BNG.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Network Architect, the candidate will:

  • Develop innovative BB/IP architectures to lower cost, increase robustness and simplify the network
  • Support the operationalization, automation, engineering and planning of new Broadband and IP technologies
  • Develop understanding of Bell's services supported by the BB/IP network (Internet/IPTV/Wireless/Business/VoIP/…) and their evolution
  • Support all Bell regions/networks including Central, Atlantic, West, Northern Tel and Télébec
  • Work with vendors and monitor industry trends to understand evolution roadmaps and how they can best be applied to Bell's network

Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
