As an Environmental Technologist you will work in collaboration with the Geotechnical, Materials and Environment Team.
Your Contribution
  • Record field data and prepare reports based on established templates
  • Coordinate and maintain field equipment maintenance, charging and repairs
  • Coordinate and complete Phase I and II ESAs, including fieldwork, sampling, and reporting for senior review
  • Coordinate and complete environmental drilling and test pitting programs
  • Collecting groundwater, surface water and potable water samples
  • Sediment sampling
  • Completing laboratory chains of custody
  • Be familiar with environmental and contaminated site guidelines
  • Perform hazardous materials surveys (asbestos, mould, lead, etc.), abatement monitoring, review of asbestos management plans and specifications, remediation/abatement inspections, air sampling
  • Work will fluctuate and will require working regular business hours, evenings/nights and weekends, sometimes on an emergency, immediate response basis. Ability to maintain flexibility and adaptability to scheduling changes and occasional overtime is required
  • Travel between worksites will be required locally and provincially including remote areas
  • Perform other field and office responsibilities, as required to support Englobe's multi-disciplinary projects
  • Conduct project administration tasks as required, including timesheet generation

Your Profile
  • Post-secondary education in environmental sciences and/or engineering technology or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of related work experience is required
  • Possession of valid driver's license required
  • Eligibility to obtain federal security clearance required
  • Already obtained (Reliability or Secret) is considered a significant asset
  • Excellent written and oral English communication skills
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills
  • Strong organization and planning skills
  • Strong ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Able to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure
  • Access to a reliable personal vehicle is required as well as a valid Driver's License
