The Department of Natural Resources and Energy Development is seeking an individual to join the Crown Lands Branch, as a Monitoring and Compliance Officer, in Fredericton.

As a member of the Tenure and Compliance team and reporting to the section manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for operational management of monitoring and compliance for all site-related aspects of the lease inspection program. Responsibilities will include: providing project coordination with regional and district staff, to conduct annual inspections for all lease tenures; following up on non-conforming inspections, including composing letters to lessees, proposing and communicating specific actions and timelines with lessees to reach conformance, contacting lessees to follow up on deadlines, drafting pending lease cancellation letters, and updating template letters and forms to improve communication and compliance outcomes. They will maintain effective interactive communication and positive relationships with district staff and clients, to avoid issues and conflicts. This position is required to update the status of all inspections using data management software, produce reports from data management software, populate inspection schedules into the Ranger App, retrieve reports, troubleshoot issues with Regional and IT staff, and provide quarterly inspection reports to district staff for workload delegation. Other related duties may be assigned as required.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent, supplemented by a one-year related post-secondary diploma; and a minimum of five (5) years of related work experience, including a minimum of two (2) years of experience providing client service in an office environment; OR, a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of six (6) years of related work experience, including a minimum of two (2) years of experience providing client service in an office environment. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.

SALARY:$46,280 to $56,212 per annum
