Your Contribution
Terraprobe Inc. is looking for a Building Condition Technologist to join our expanding team in providing consulting services to a variety of clients including, private, industry and government sectors.
Reporting to the Building Science Manager, your main tasks will be in the field in collaboration with the Building Sciences team. Your main responsibilities will be:
  • Conduct building inspections and testing (ex. Roof cut tests, water/ air leak tests, envelope inspection, etc.)
  • Conduct field work for building condition assessment evaluation for a variety of commercial and institutional properties
  • Analysing findings of the site investigations and help prepare BCA/FCA reports.
  • Possessing familiarity with building maintenance and repair with a focus on collaborative problem-solving based on life-cycle cost analysis
  • Perform quality control inspections for building envelope installation and repairs.
  • Participate in the development of building envelope repair plans and specifications

Your Profile
  • Completion of a post-secondary program in applied science or engineering from an accredited University or college diploma or a Building Science Certification
  • 2-5 years of experience as a Building Science Technologist or Technician
  • Licensed C.E.T. or eligible to be licensed with OACETT
  • A valid driver's license with own vehicle
  • Excellent communication skills including technical writing
  • Motivated to provide excellent client service and enjoy working in a team environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Good academic understanding of building components and familiar with building codes and standards

Qualifications:
