Who we are

Join the Mount Carleton Provincial Park Team! Mount Carleton is one of the largest natural sites in New Brunswick, located in the north-west of New Brunswick.
A picturesque blend of Acadian forests and mountain peaks, Mount Carleton contains over 17, 000 hectares of wilderness waiting for today's explorers. 

A provincial park since 1970, containing the highest peak in the Maritimes, a part of the Appalachian Mountains, including hiking trails, camping, fishing, and a designated Dark Sky Preserve are all part of what awaits you.
What you will do
Reporting to the Mount Carleton Provincial Park Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the routine receipt, purchasing, issuance and control of various supplies, tools, materials, and equipment in a depot. The duties and responsibilities will include:

• Answer telephone calls, do follow-up when needed and give information to clients
• Lift, receive, unpack materials, and verify merchandise for accuracy
• Keep all purchasing information up to date by location using a computerized management system
• Assist in the preparation of a list of equipment, merchandise or supplies needed to order and check prices
• Organize proper storage and maintain inventory control
• Inspect, as needed, purchases of equipment and merchandise on sites
• Clean assigned area in a neat and tidy condition
• Check fuel and gas levels and order when needed
• Pick up supplies
• Order supplies needed after approval from manager or assistant manager using NBON
• Perform related work as required

Your attitude, skills and interests are just as important as your area of study. We are looking for diverse backgrounds that bring a combination of the following:

Need to have 
• Completion of grade 10 and considerable experience in storekeeping work including computer skills
• A valid class 5 driver's license 
• An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
• Written and spoken competence in English and French is required. 

Nice to have
• Experience in inventory control

$ 23.72 per hour (40 hours a week)
