Jump Recruitment is currently seeking highly motivated candidates for the position of Accounting Assistant for our client, Newfoundland Eggs.


Newfoundland Eggs operates a specialized egg grading facility in Roaches Line, supplying graded table

eggs and eggs for further processing. It is a 4th generation family owned and operated business and has

experienced continual growth and is poised for further expansion and diversification of its operations

and product offerings in the near future.

Jump Recruitment is currently seeking highly motivated candidates for the position of Accounting Assistant for our client, Newfoundland Eggs.

Who are you?

Reporting to the Controller, the Accounting Assistant is a highly motivated individual with an emphasis on organization and a keen eye for accuracy. Working with the accounting manager, this position will be primarily responsible for accounts payable. This includes but is not limited to receiving, processing, and verifying invoices, tracking and recording purchase orders, and processing payments. Key Responsibilities:

· Support and assist with duties related to Accounts Payable

· Complete payments and controlling expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices

· Prepare bills, invoices and bank deposits and cheque runs

· Generate reports detailing Accounts Payable status

· Perform summaries and analysis for various bills and accounts

· Complete basic office tasks, such as filing, data entry, answering phones, processing mail, etc.

· Verify and investigate discrepancies by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements

· Research and resolve accounts payable issues

· Perform quarterly IFTA reporting

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting or Finance coupled with 3-5 years of relevant working experience

• Equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Superior problem solving-ability

• Strong time management and organization skills

• Tech savvy with strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of applications, including Excel

• Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written

• Demonstrate the ability to complete a variety of priorities while meeting deadlines

• Great interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work well both independently as well as in a team environment
