What will you do?

As Asset Management Technician you will work under the direction of the Asset management Technical Analyst and be responsible for:

  • supporting the Department's Asset Management System and ensure the data required for modelling is accurate and up-to-date (road surface, pavement condition, alignment changes);
  • assisting the Bridge Management System (BMS) and the Pavement Management System (PMS) models and updating the road network data to accurately represent the surface condition;
  • field work will consist of tracking the road changes to ensure accuracy of the network inventory.

  • Office location: 440 King Street, Fredericton
  • Standard hours of work: Monday - Friday, 8:15-4:30
  • Periodic travel throughout the Province.

Essential qualifications

  • Diploma from a recognized two (2) year post-secondary Civil Engineering Technology Program with a minimum of four (4) years of related work experience.
  • Possession of a valid New Brunswick Driver's License.

An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.

Written and spoken competence in English is required. Please state your language capability.

Asset Qualifications

Preference may be given to candidates that demonstrate experience in analyzing technical issues, reporting conclusions and making recommendations. Proficient use of Excel and experience using ArcGIS would also be an asset.

Subject to the response to this competition, candidates may be required to demonstrate on their application one (1) or more of the asset qualifications in addition to the essential qualifications in order to be given further consideration.

SALARY: Engineering and Field Level V: $1,785.00 to $2,244.00 bi-weekly (based on a 36 ¼ hour work week).
