The New Brunswick Association for Community Living (NBACL) is looking for an energetic, self-motivated, proactive and experienced Communications professional committed to the vision, values and philosophy of inclusion. The Manager of Marketing & Communications will be responsible for the management and overall accountability related to the marketing and communications of the organization.

The individual will set and guide the strategy for all internal and external communications including NBACL's website, social media and public relations messages to consistently articulate NBACL's mission and advance its purpose.

The Manager of Marketing & Communications is a full-time salaried position, located in Fredericton.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for creating, implementing and measuring the success of a comprehensive marketing, communications and public relations strategy that will enhance the organizations image and position within the community and facilitate internal and external communications;
  • Develop, implement and evaluate the annual communications plan;
  • Oversee the editorial direction, design, development, distribution, and maintenance of all NBACL print and electronic material including, but not limited to, newsletters, brochures and NBACL's website;
  • Responsible for the design and implementation of a communications plan for all fundraising events and campaigns;
  • Serve as lead point person on media interactions that help promote and/or impact the organization and actively cultivate and manage media relationships to ensure coverage of issues of strategic importance, as well as NBACL's programs, special events, public announcements and other projects;
  • Develop short and long term plans for the communications program and its activities, monitor progress, assure adherence and evaluate performance.
  • Participate in work-related training and development opportunities as required.
Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum post-secondary education in marketing, communications or public relations with at least three (3) years' experience in a progressive, dynamic Communications and or Marketing role;
  • Experience in marketing, communications or public relations;
  • Demonstrated skills, knowledge, and experience in the design and execution of marketing, communications, and public relations strategy/activities;
  • Excellent time management skills, juggling multiple tasks or projects simultaneously and the ability to maintain flexibility while doing so;
  • Demonstrated successful experience writing press releases, creating presentations, and dealing with media campaigns, social media, and electronic print media;
  • Excellent professionalism and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively within a team and demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive internal and external relationships;
  • Strong computer skills and demonstrated proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications and social media platforms;
  • Strong attention to detail in all areas of work, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills including logic and structure, grammar, usage, and punctuation, for emails, letters, reports, memos, presentations, etc;
  • Satisfactory Social Development, Criminal Record and Vulnerable Persons Check;

Asset Qualifications

  • Bilingual (French and English) will be considered a strong asset

Operational Requirements

  • Valid driver's license, a reliable vehicle necessary for work related duties and the willingness and flexibility to travel throughout the province as required;
