Finance and Treasury Board is seeking individuals to work intermittently with Linguistic Services as Invigilators in various regions throughout the Province.

As part of Linguistic Services, the successful candidates will be responsible for supervising exams. The work involves being available for two to four hours at a time to supervise written and reading language exams. Work could be as little as once or twice a year or twice a month depending on operational needs. The candidates must be reliable and flexible. As well, the candidate must be detail oriented and able to work with confidential information.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must have a high-school diploma plus post-secondary education.

An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.

Spoken competence in English and French is required.

Applicants must clearly demonstrate the essential qualifications to be given further consideration. Please state your language capability on your application and ensure that preferred language for assessment is clearly identified.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS: Preference may be given to candidates who demonstrate they have training or experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Classroom or teaching experience
  • Experience with handling confidential material

Subject to the response to this competition, candidates may be required to demonstrate on their application one or more of the asset qualifications in addition to the essential qualifications in order to be given further consideration.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: This position may require some travelling within the province therefore candidates must possess a valid New Brunswick driver's license and have their own means of transportation.

Hourly Rate: $25.00 per hour
