Mission Statement

Reaching out to all people in order to teach them the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to baptize them with water and the Holy Spirit. Providing soul care and cultivating a warm fellowship in which everyone shall experience the love of God and the joy of serving Him and others.

The Communication Specialist will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing effective communication strategies. This individual will create compelling content, manage various communication channels, and ensure consistent messaging that aligns with the church's values and mission. This position involves meticulous planning, coordination, and execution of various events, from small seminars to large-scale conferences. The successful candidate will be a creative and detail-oriented individual with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.

Some travel across Canada may be required.

Your Responsibilities will include:

Communications Strategy

  • Develop and deliver creative, effective communications plans to support strategic initiatives through an inclusive lens.
  • Provide guidance to leaders on effective communication practices and ensure consistency in messaging.

Content Creation

  • Develop and produce engaging content for various communication channels, including emails, website, social media, and newsletters.
  • Collaborate with different teams to gather information and create content that effectively communicates key messages and initiatives.

Social Media Management

  • Manage and update the church's social media platforms, ensuring consistent and engaging content that reflects the church's identity.
  • Monitor social media trends and respond to comments and messages promptly and appropriately.

Branding and Messaging

  • Maintain and reinforce the church's brand identity across all communication channels.
  • Ensure consistency in messaging and branding guidelines for various church materials.

Your Qualifications will include:

  • Post-Secondary education in Communications, Marketing or related discipline
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role. Experience in a similar or non-profit organization is an asset.
  • A team player who has a desire to contribute to the overall effectiveness of NACC, its programs, staff, volunteers, and community partners in fulfilling our mission.
  • Demonstrates the ability to adapt to rapidly changing situations.
  • Keeps current with current creative, communications and technological trends.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with an ability to tailor content for different audiences.
  • Proficiency in social media management and familiarity with various platforms
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to align communications with broader organizational goals.
  • Understanding of and alignment with the church's mission and values
  • Proven experience in project management.
  • French language skills is an asset
