Greenbrook TMS NeuroHealth Centers is currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst (Reporting) who will be responsible for assisting in the full cycle accounting process as well as in the timely preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting. The role reports directly to the Finance Manager. This is a position best suited for a designated CPA with strong knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP accounting principles and has prior experience working in a similar role. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to join a growing company.

Our head office is located in downtown Toronto, Ontario in the Exchange Tower. The role is currently operating under a hybrid model with a minimum of 50% of working hours in office and the remaining remote. We offer a competitive pay range based on education and experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the timely preparation of internal and external monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
    • Prepare accounting position memos for internal senior management (Finance Manager, Director of Finance, CFO) in accordance with the IFRS accounting standards
    • Assist with preparing and reviewing public company filings including financial statements, MD&A, 20-F and earning releases, and prepare the supporting schedules for note disclosures
    • Collaborate with the Finance Manager, Director of Finance and CFO and provide updates on financial reports, progress, and modifications
  • Prepare various complex financial information
    • Prepare journal entries and schedules for new complex transactions including but not limited to business combinations, share based compensation, equity/debt financing accounting
    • Ensure that the Company appropriately applies US GAAP guidance
    • Perform analytics for period-over-period changes in financial statement information as well as summarizing findings to present to senior management
  • Support the month end and year end close with the preparation, maintenance, and review of working papers and reconciliations
    • Perform balance sheet account reconciliations (including but not limited to: prepaids, accruals, loans, equity, intangibles, property plant and equipment, leases), investigating any differences and preparing necessary adjustments
    • Continuously monitor financial covenants associated with loans from lenders
  • Assist in the management of quarterly and annual audits
    • Coordinate with external auditors and internal management to ensure the completion of external audits, including finance, operations and controls
    • Assist in any audit inquiries and provide the necessary support
  • Takes initiative in driving meaningful ad-hoc analysis for the management team
  • Train and mentor other staff on best financial practices and proper application of US GAAP guidance
  • Provide ad-hoc operational support to various business functions such as finance, operations and controls
  • Other projects as assigned (acquisitions, financing, etc.)

Qualifications and Skill requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Finance, with CPA Designation completed or in progress;
  • Minimum of 3 years of directly related work experience in Accounting and Finance;
  • Strong understanding of IFRS and US GAAP including technical accounting and reporting requirements;
  • MS Word (Advanced), Excel (Advanced), PowerPoint (Proficient);
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to tailor communication appropriately to different stakeholder audiences;
  • Experience with NetSuite is an asset
  • Exposure to healthcare industry or US markets preferred;
  • Strong business acumen
  • Demonstrates leadership ability and initiative;
  • Strong analytical skills to understand, interpret and communicate financial and operational data;
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment; and;
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
