Purpose of the Role:
As an Associate Product Delivery Manager, you will work within our Product Delivery group assisting with management of projects across our Research and Development, Engineering, Supply Chain and Manufacturing departments. You will provide elements of project leadership from Kick-Off through Implementation. Growth in the role will enable the candidate to take on more independent leadership of projects with continued guidance from other members of Product Delivery.
This position requires an individual that has the solid foundation of a technical education, or equivalent experience, and has taken their career in a project management direction.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- You have a university degree or college diploma in a technical field, or an equivalent amount of practical work experience.
- You have 1 to 3 years of project management experience in an engineering, technical or manufacturing environment.
- You have the ability to review engineering and manufacturing plans and recommend changes to suit your project plans.
- You are familiar with engineering drawings and documentation.
- You have an understanding of supply chains and quality requirements as they relate to product development.
- You have an understanding of design verification techniques and practices.
Bonus Skills and Qualifications:
- You are registrants (EIT, P.Eng, PE) of an engineering association.
What Success looks like in this role:
- You will work with Product Delivery Managers to develop project documents. Examples of documents include charters and budgets.
- You will assist with project control: Develop project schedules and budgets, monitor activity progress and spending, and explain time gaps and variances against budget.
- You will work with research and product development teams to obtain project updates for updating of technical status, schedules, budgets and product cost models.
