About the Role:

We are looking for a dedicated Production Technician to join our growing team. You will primarily be responsible for executing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to assemble and Quality Control (QC) micro-assemblies. High precision while working with small parts will be critical for this role.

Specific responsibilities of this role:

  • Follow SOP to cut and QC optical fibres
  • Glue fibres into ferrules
  • Use microscope to QC fiber ferrule assembly
  • Track inventory and quality data in systems

About You:

You are highly organized and focused in your work, and you have a strong ability to execute processes systematically. You are self-motivated and able to work autonomously to meet production targets. You are passionate about continuous improvements in quality and efficiency to help improve production processes. You thrive in a small team environment and are excited about a career in a growing technology company!

  • Scrupulous attention to detail
  • Able to stay highly focused when following an SOP
  • Fine motor skills for precision work
  • Meticulous in nature, especially while performing repetitive tasks
  • Organized and able to maintain a clean working environment
  • Ideally, in a technical post-secondary program looking for full-time summer work and part-time work around school hours in the fall.


Bonus points if you have experience with:

  • Optic fibres
  • High-volume production with tight mechanical tolerances
  • Working in cleanrooms
