LABOURER / FLAGGER

Firma Contracting is currently seeking Labourers / Flaggers to work on underground and earthworks projects located in Edmonton. We offer competitive wages, work / life balance, great opportunity for advancement, training and potential for work over the winter.

Responsibilities:

• Physical tasks, including digging, sweeping, sampling, lifting, shoveling, moving containers and other heavy materials
• Flagging for traffic and pedestrians
• Ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed
• Actively participate in all safety meetings
• General site housekeeping

Qualifications:

• Previous construction experience is required
• Prior flagging experience is an asset
• Flag person certification is an asset
• Understand how to use power/small tools such as plate tampers, carb saws, etc.
• Ability to work long hours (10+ hour days) outdoors in various weather conditions
  
• Working understanding of site hazard assessments and able to complete daily safety documentation in an accurate and timely manner
• Be fit for duty and prepared for work each day
• Positive attitude / team player
• Strong communication / listening skills and ability to follow direction

Safety Certifications:

• CSTS 2020 (required)
• WHMIS 2015 (required)
