As an integral member of our finance team, the Accounts Payable Administrator will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of financial transactions. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, possess strong organizational skills, and have a keen understanding of accounts payable processes. This role involves collaborating with various departments and vendors to maintain efficient and effective payment systems.

What you'll be doing:

  • Matching invoices with internal purchase orders.
  • Ensuring invoices are mathematically accurate.
  • Ensuring vendor WCB clearance letters are received.
  • Distributing invoices for management approval.
  • Data entry input of invoices for multiple projects.
  • Inputting credit memos.
  • Uploading EFT payments for approval.
  • Preparing cash flow requirements on a bi-monthly basis and as needed.
  • Running cheque batches and distributing cheques semi-monthly.
  • Resolving invoice related problems and/or discrepancies to minimize late fees on payment.
  • Reconciling holdbacks and remitting payments when due.
  • Reconciling of vendor statements.
  • Resolving supplier payment issues.
  • Reconcile visas and preparing related intercompany billings.
  • Preparing T5018 fillings.
  • Filing of accounting documents.
  • Opening and distributing mail for all Logel Homes staff.
  • Prepares couriers as needed.
  • Setting up couriers to pick up cheques and mail them out.
  • Scheduling other couriers as needed.
  • Assist with year-end audit requirements.

Other tasks as assigned/requested by Assistant Controller/Corporate Controller/ CFO

What you bring to the team:

  • 2-5 years of experience in accounts payable or a related role.
  • Post-Secondary Education in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Previous experience in the construction industry would be an asset.
  • Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with TimberScan and Sage 300 would be considered an asset.
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficient conflict resolution and customer service skills
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to consistently meet changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve through issues

Other duties as assigned by the Corporate Controller/Assistant Controller/CFO
