We are seeking a Caregiver for a community client in Egbert, which is part of the Township of Essa. The scheduled shift is 9am-4pm every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. We are seeking a part-time to full-time individual who is available for the expected shifts and is willing to pick up occasional overnights with the same client.

The successful candidate's areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and personal care including eating, dressing, transferring, toileting, hygiene, grooming, and bathing as per client's care plan
- Providing medication support and management
- Providing cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual support
- Maintaining open communication with client and their family
- Monitoring care plan and adding documentation with any changes and updates
- Responding to all emergency situations
- All other duties, as assigned
Key qualifications for this position will include, but are not limited to:
- Valid First Aid/CPR certificate
- Completion of a Police Vulnerable Sector Check
- Satisfactory professional references
- Experience caring for palliative clients is an asset*
- Ability to accurately follow written and verbal instructions
- Must be able to anticipate problems and use sound judgment and tact in handling confidential matters
