One of our food processing clients in Taber, AB region is looking for a Millwright for their facility.
Shift: Days
Job Responsibilities:
Diagnosing and fixing machine issues through testing, temporary repairs, or part replacements.
Replacing older machines with new ones and overseeing preventive maintenance.
Utilizing equipment such as milling machines, welders, and lathes comfortably.
Employing troubleshooting techniques to resolve machine problems.
Possessing strong mathematical abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
Collaborating with colleagues, engineers, plant managers, and part vendors.
Proficiency in handling pneumatic, hydraulic systems, pumps, gearboxes, motors, servo motors, and conveyors.
Experience with packaging equipment and industrial instrumentation.
Installing, aligning, dismantling, and relocating stationary machinery.
Inspecting and investigating irregularities and malfunctions in machinery.
Adjusting machinery and replacing defective parts, as needed.
Performing routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning and lubrication.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Possess a valid Alberta Journeyman Industrial Millwright Red Seal certification or an equivalent Canadian journeyperson qualification.
Minimum of 5 years' experience as an Industrial Millwright Mechanic.
Mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in repairs and maintenance.
Previous experience in the food industry is considered an asset.
Proven ability to develop and implement project plans that successfully achieve identified targets.
