We provide turn-key project management and design-build services on a fee for service basis. Currently we are in need of experienced and dedicated Deficiency Carpenter to join the Victoria team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking for experience in the rewarding field of construction with one of BC's most respected and proven developers. General Duties & Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Resolving quality control issues while adhering to deadlines
  • Paint touchups & small drywall repairs
  • appliance & cabinet adjustments
  • Caulking & cleaning
  • Assist with all aspects of the finishing construction process
  • laboring as required, both hands-on deficiency list completion and coordinating. Re: tracking deficiencies and coordinating with trade foremen
  • Finishing to project specific specifications
  • Perform other activities on construction sites, as directed by supervisors

Skills and Requirements:

  • Knowledge and experience working in timber frame and high rise construction is an asset but not required
  • Knowledge of various tools and equipment as well as materials and methods of construction is an asset
  • Ability to problem solve, prioritize tasks and work independently
  • A high commitment to personal safety and the safety of others
  • Able to ffectively communicate with all types of staff, including laborers, technical, professional, and upper magement
  • Commitment to working in a team environment, with established team building abilities;
  • Strong communication, leadership, integration, problem-solving and interpersonal skills;
  • Must have own steel toe boots
  • We are willing to provide training to the right candidate
  • Wages are ultimately determined by skill level, competitive wages and benefit packages available for hourly workers
