Come Grow with Us! Forsite is actively looking for a Senior Forest Technologist with opportunity to work out of our Prince George or Smithers locations, within the Interior of British Columbia.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Under the direction of the Assistant Manager, the Sr. Forest Technologist is responsible for forest development activities including reconnaissance road/cutblock engineering, ecological and riparian assessments, and completing the associated plans, deliverables, and appraisal packages in a safe, timely, cost effective and professional manner.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • A safety conscious attitude;
  • Post-secondary education with a diploma or degree in forestry;
  • Registered or eligible to be registered with the FPBC;
  • Minimum three (3) years' experience of multiphase timber development experience in British Columbia;
  • Broad understanding and experience in general forestry practices and operational forest planning; and
  • A valid driver's license and safe driving record.

  • Able to work both independently under limited direct supervision as well as in a project team environment;
  • Flexible with strong organizational and time management skills to with ability to work under pressure to meet targets; and
  • Able to work with excellent attention to detail with work accuracy and quality.
