Job Title: Business Intelligence Developer Job ID: BJ77530082Location: Burnaby, BCOverview:Our client is looking for a contract Business Intelligence Developer to work with their I.T. team to develop an on-premise Data Warehouse with SQL Server Integration Services, SQL Database, and PowerBI. What you will be doing:

• Translating business requirements into technical specifications
• Designing Data Models based on technical specifications
• Designing and building End to End Data pipeline and ETL packages including:
• Staging Areas and Date Warehouse Layouts with SQL Server
• Data pipeline with SSIS
• ETL Processes with SSIS / SSDT
• Error Handling
• Dashboards and reports with PowerBI

What you must have:

• Experience with on premise Data Warehouse design and implementation
• Good understanding of cloud design considerations for data storage and processing.
• Experience with data modeling
• Experience with building data pipelines and ETL processes
• Extensive development experience with technologies including: SSIS, SQL Server, REST API, OLAP cubes, BI Analytic tools
• Extensive analytic development experience with PowerBI and preferably Microsoft Power Platform.
• Experience with analyzing data source systems to identify data transformation needs
• Thorough knowledge of software development methods, practices and procedures.
• Ability to prepare technical design and write technical specifications.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of internal contacts.
• Ability to provide advice and assistance on matters related to the work.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
• Ability to perform assigned duties with minimal supervision, although direction will be given.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
