Position: Lattice Friction Crane Operator
Location: Victoria, BC
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
Travel: Out of town work may be required
Employment Type: Union-based, Full-time
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate lattice friction cranes to lift, move, and position materials and equipment.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Perform pre-operational inspections and routine maintenance on equipment.
- Calculate crane capacities and weights for rigging and hoisting operations.
- Communicate effectively with team members using hand signals and radio communications.
- Record operational activities, inspections, and maintenance in logbooks and reports.
Requirements:
- Valid certification as a Lattice Friction Crane Operator. Red Seal, Level A and B considered.
- Previous experience operating cranes in construction or related industries.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations.
- Willingness to travel for out of town work assignments.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
