We are now looking for an Assistant Restaurant Manager in Nanaimo who will be responsible for maintaining a high level of guest satisfaction through leadership, training and development, and focus. The ideal candidate should have at least 1 year of previous management experience in hospitality or 3 years management experience in a related industry with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate must also have excellent comprehension of restaurant operational controls and financial statements with a proven record of training and developing teams.

As an Assistant Restaurant Manager in Nanaimo your day-to-day responsibilities will involve maintaining a high level of guest satisfaction through leadership, training and development, ensuring all standards and policies are followed (as measured by Business & Brand Health Assessments & 3rd Party audits), initiating programs to support achievement & growth of top line sales (as measured by achievement & budget) & controlling costs (as measured by budget). You will also be responsible for coordinating ongoing recruitment, training & development of management & team members (as measured by strength of team & achievement), creating a positive working environment & maintaining open communication between staff members.

Responsibilities:

Maintaining a high level of guest satisfaction through leadership, training and development, and focus

Ensuring all standards and policies are followed (as measured by Business & Brand Health Assessments & 3rd Party audits)

Initiating programs to support achievement & growth of top line sales (as measured by achievement & budget)

Initiating programs to control costs (as measured by budget)

Coordinating ongoing recruitment, training & development of management & team members (as measured by strength strength of team& achievement)

Creating a positive working environment

Maintaining open communication between staff members

Requirements:

Minimum 1-year previous management experience in hospitality or 3 years management experience in a related industry

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Excellent comprehension of restaurant operational controls and financial statements

A proven record of training and developing teams

A demonstrated commitment to guest service

Excellent management skills (organized, able to set priorities plan make decisions)

Excellent leadership skills (demonstrated ability to cause constructive change people motivator great communicator role model delegator)

Demonstrated commitment to the values integrity involvement innovation

Has previous experience with or has initiated programs that support positive team member relations
