Your future role on our team: Our client is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineering Lead for mine process plants to support our continued growth Western Canada. The selected candidate will play a key role in all phases of engineering projects from front end-studies through to field implementation with a focus on detailed engineering. As a senior member of the mechanical engineering team, the candidate will be responsible for ensuring technical quality, developing new business opportunities, and fostering team development.

- Develop mechanical scopes of work, budgets, and proposals
- Perform high level engineering on major mechanical packages such as: crushing and grinding circuits, flotation circuits, leaching circuits, dewatering
- Lead mechanical scope on conceptual design studies, pre-feasibility studies, feasibility studies, and detailed engineering
- Be a key team member for small to major brownfield/greenfield mining projects
- Participate in site visits, inspections, condition assessments, commissioning, and testing (site visits will typically be 3-10 days at a time up to twenty-five days a year. These number are negotiable during the interview process)
- Provide mentorship and coaching of junior/intermediate engineers, actively sharing knowledge, and supporting the enhancement of skills within the team

Overview Of Certifications And Job Requirements:
- Proven track record with strong technical skills as a Mechanical Engineer on mineral process plant projects
Experience in base and precious metals: asset
- Ability to interpret PFD's and process design criteria from process engineering, oversee plant layouts, mechanical equipment selection, technical bid evaluation and validation and pump sizing
- University degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 12+ years of relevant engineering experience in the mining sector with a preference for 5+ years in consulting
- 12 to 25 years (pay range based on experience) of relevant engineering experience in the mining sector with a preference for 5+ years in consulting
- Must be a registered P.Eng in Canada
- Valid driver's license
- Available for site work and short-term assignments (3-10 days at a time up to twenty-five days a year)
- Site experience considered a strong asset

Our client considers many factors to determine the annual base salary such as, but not limited to: Location of the position, education, relevant and demonstrated work experience, technical assessment, qualifications, certifications, and other relevant competencies. Salary range: $130,000-$210,000.
