This position will be responsible for day-to-day shift management in the kitchen, recruiting and training staff, ensuring all standards are met, and achieving financial targets related to the back of the house. As Kitchen Manager at our North Vancouver location, your primary responsibility will be day-to-day shift management in the kitchen. You will promote a passion for food within the Kitchen and Service teams as well as ensure all product leaving the kitchen is up to standard. Additionally, you will recruit, train and develop staff members while maintaining open communication between management and team members. You will also be responsible for achieving financial targets related to the back of the house such as food cost, labour cost and productivity goals. Overall your expertise in food safety regulations such as HACCP & WorkSafe requirements combined with your interpersonal skills will help create an unforgettable dining experience that our guests won't forget!
Responsibilities:
Promoting a passion for food within Kitchen and Service teams
Day to day shift management
Recruitment & training of Kitchen team
Developing & maintaining open communication between management & team members
Ensuring all standards & policies are followed including those related to food safety
Achieving financial targets related to back of house such as food cost & labour cost
Preparing & analyzing accurate reports on weekly/monthly/annual basis
Requirements:
Previous kitchen experience in a leadership role
A proven record of training & developing a team
Passion for food & commitment to quality
A demonstrated commitment to guest service
Strong attention to detail & eye for presentation
A thorough understanding of Food Safe, HACCP & WorkSafe requirements
Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
High energy & commitment to excellence
Must complete all Manager/Kitchen Manager LMS/on-the-job training
Must complete all required workshops
Red Seal preferred
