Description:

As a Senior Dental Technician Removables/Dentures you will be responsible for helping improve teeth and for replacing lost teeth. You will improve teeth for aesthetic reasons, and work to the prescription of a dentist to make bridges, crowns, and dentures.

General Responsibilities:

  • Replaces partial or total loss of natural teeth by constructing partial or full dentures (metal and non-metal)
  • Completes implantology procedures by fabricating prostheses to fit implants the dentist places directly into the patient's jawbone
  • Fabricating full and partial dentures, including, but not limited to, setting teeth, waxing, bending wire, finishing, and processing
  • Relines, repairs, occlusal rims, and custom trays
  • Documents actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records
  • Case consulting with dentist clients
  • Helps employees improve techniques or learn new skills
  • Assistance in the management and organization of the department
  • Assist in complex cases manufacture
  • Verifies accuracy of work performed as prescribed by the client and as per laboratory standards (Quality Control)
  • Must be willing to cross-train in all areas of the lab

Qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience in dental technology in manufacturing removable dentures; CAD design experience a plus
  • Must possess proficient English skills, both written and verbal
  • Must possess effective oral communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with all levels of personnel in a professional and effective manner
  • Must have a thorough understanding of porcelain pressing technology, crown morphology, and crown and bridge case design
  • Comfortable working in a team environment to complete cases
  • Same-day denture experience is a bonus, but not required
