1. Responsibilities
- Develop tools, pipelines, and workflows that will improve the productivity and autonomy of the development team, across multiple departments.
- Implement, debug, and optimize new features, systems, and tools.
- Provide guidelines, structure and support to other technical departments, helping them organize their own bespoke tools & scripts.
- Work closely with the programming team to design and implement creative solutions.
- Identify needs and propose solutions to improve the development pipelines across the company.
- Maintain regular internal communications and help encourage a positive and ambitious team atmosphere.
- Be a driving force in the continuous improvement of the development environment and practices.
2. Requirements
- Strong experience working on pipelines and writing tools using languages such as C# & Python.
- 5+ years of professional tools programming experience in the video game industry.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- High degree of self-motivation and initiative-taking.
- Ability to take on research and self-education.
- Ability to write solid documentation and training material.
Bonuses
- Have, or are pursuing, a B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent degree.
- Experience working with DCC tools & pipelines.
- Experience with GUI toolkits such as WPF, Qt or GTK.
- Experience with Perforce or other VCS.
- Experience working with Unreal Engine, including Blueprints & Assets Scripting/Validation.
- Experience working with C++.
- Experience with console and/or PC game development.
