ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Chief Creative Strategist, the Director of Content Production is a newly created role in the agency that will be an integral contributor to our creative output, our processes, and our commitment to continued innovation and growth.

Working as a conduit between our client services, creative services, and production teams, this position plays a crucial role in ensuring operational excellence for the agency. Oversight of workflow, execution of each project's strategic and creative vision, strict adherence to individual brand guidelines, and the integrity of project schedules and budgets are core expectations.

You will be a champion for identifying opportunities for growth, both for the agency and team members, through identifying untapped skill sets, process improvements, and innovative solutions [ie utilization of AI] to expand our service offerings.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Foster a forward-thinking culture of innovation and ingenuity by identifying emerging trends and integrating new solutions to maintain the agency's competitive advantage
  • Lead a diverse team of content creators, providing services including but not limited to, graphic design, illustration, copywriting, video & animation, digital production, merchandising & display, editing & enhancement, digital asset management, packaging file creation and 3D/4D modeling
  • Be the conduit between the agency's Creative Directors and the content creation and digital teams, clarifying the need and working with the Creative Service Manager[s] to assign project work based on skill set to reach the best creative outcomes
  • Be a leader in the evolution of our creative engagement and content creation culture, empowering both professional and personal growth of team members
  • Accountable for profitability and overseeing execution, timelines, and budget integrity with third-party partners, including photographers, food stylists, etc.
  • Execute agency People & Culture team development processes, including monthly 1-2-1s, performance reviews, mentorship, and career ladders
  • Continually assess the needs, ability, and capacity of the content team to proactively identify any opportunities to recruit additional resources that will contribute to project and client success
  • Maintain and execute the agency's marketing calendar across owned and shared channels

WHO YOU ARE

  • You bring 10+ years of experience, preferably in an agency environment, with proven experience in stewarding projects and plans with creative professionals
  • You are a leader, with demonstrated results in mentorship and development of team members across multiple capabilities
  • You are a positive and proactive communicator, inviting collaboration and accountability
  • You are a relentless organizer and problem solver that thrives in a deadline-driven environment
  • You will be a champion of the agency's vision and values, contributing to and elevating our culture
  • You are naturally curious with a genuine interest in innovation creating engagement through new and emerging channels
  • You identify opportunities for business growth through both existing clients and new business development

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

  • A strong knowledge of the design and production process is critical
  • Experience/working knowledge with Adobe Creative Suite a definite asset

This position is based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and services the entire agency.

LPi Group operates with a hybrid working model, consisting of remote working from home two days per week (Monday and Friday), and in-office working three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday).
