Overview:Our client is a private real estate investment firm that is committed to generating strong returns for our investors through proven value creation strategies and full-cycle real estate asset management. They are looking for a Senior Fund Analyst to join their analyst team. This is an exciting opportunity to monitor the market and analyze portfolio performance through the preparation and modeling of fund assets. As the Senior Fund Analyst, you will collaborate closely with the Director of Finance and the President to analyze and report fund performance, measure quarterly Net Asset Value (NAV), measure and forecast key performance measures, prepare reporting for the Executive team, and work closely with our business development team to prepare external investor reporting.
What you will be doing:
  • Work closely with the Director of Finance and President on ad-hoc tasks and projects.
  • Measure and report on Fund performance for each unitholder series.
  • Prepare and accurately report the quarterly NAV calculations.
  • Forecast Fund performance and NAV estimates.
  • Participate in the creation and prepare Fund marketing materials.
  • Prepare and accurately report the accurate measurement of fund reporting for external investors.
  • Coordinate and communicate with business development team regarding quarterly Fund newsletters.
  • Generate and analyze various reports, including property specific financial statements for management, as required.
  • Prepare and analyze quarterly distribution calculations, working with Fund transfer agent to coordinate the payment of quarterly distributions. Ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of payment of distributions to investors.
  • Prepare and analyze quarterly trailer fees, working with exempt market dealers and transfer agent to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of payments going out.
  • Coordinate and prepare of Board of Director meeting presentation.
  • Oversee and coordinate with external counsel and analysts in the preparation of the annual Offering Memorandum updates.
What you must have:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or another related field.
  • Professional Designation (working toward CFA or CPA).
  • Minimum 5 years work experience, with a real estate or investment fund background.
  • Exceptional computer skills, with a particular focus on Microsoft Excel (Financial Modelling), Word, and Outlook.
  • Highly organized with the ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Must be flexible, adaptable, and able to prioritize to deliver results.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrates the ability to present ideas and information in a clear, concise, organized, and diplomatic manner.
  • Ability to balance workload and multi-task effectively while remaining detail oriented and accurate.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and develop strong relationships with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
  • Previous experience in real-estate property management is an advantage.
