Job Title: Insurance Sales Representative

Overview: An Insurance Sales Representative plays a pivotal role in the insurance industry, responsible for generating new business, retaining existing clients, and providing exceptional customer service. This role involves a combination of salesmanship, relationship-building, and in-depth knowledge of insurance products and services. Insurance Sales Representatives work for insurance companies or agencies, promoting various insurance policies such as life, health, auto, property, and casualty insurance.

Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Generation:
  • Actively prospect and generate leads through various channels including cold calling, referrals, networking, and online inquiries.
  • Conduct thorough needs assessments to understand clients' insurance requirements and recommend suitable policies.
  • Present and explain insurance policy options to potential clients.
  • Close sales and achieve monthly/quarterly sales targets.
  • Customer Relationship Management:

  • Administrative Tasks:

    • Collaborate with underwriters, claims adjusters, and other internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Compliance and Ethics:
    • Adhere to legal and regulatory requirements governing insurance sales and practices.
    • Conduct all business activities with honesty, integrity, and transparency.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field preferred.
    • Proven track record of success in sales, preferably in the insurance or financial services industry.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
