We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Therapist to join our team as either an Independent Contractor or a Part-Time Employee.

ABA Academy is Ontario's market leader specializing exclusively in ABA therapy. Working in multidisciplinary teams with teachers and other professionals, we create access to educational solutions so families can be confident in the future of their children when facing Autism Spectrum Disorder and developmental exceptionalities. We are pleased to offer in-home and community-based services across the Greater Toronto Area including Etobicoke, North York, Markham, Thornhill, Toronto, Ajax, Pickering, Whitby, and Richmond Hill.

Reporting to both the Clinical Supervisor and the Program Supervisor, as a member of the clinical team, you will provide clinical supervision and training to ABA Academy's Instructor Therapists delivering community- and home-based Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) therapy services.

Responsibilities

  • Developing, implementing, and monitoring ABA services and programs for children with ASD and developmental exceptionalities in one-on-one and group settings.
  • Delivers direct biweekly (once every two weeks) supervision to each client based on a needs-based model.
  • Assessing client needs using ABLLS, VB-MAPP, AFLS, and PEAK to design, develop, and implement individualized ABA services and programs.
  • Evaluating the ABA services and programs delivered by a team of Instructor Therapists.
  • Guiding and training parents, caregivers, teachers, and other service providers of children and adolescents when necessary.
  • Preparing clinical reports for the Clinical Supervisor, such as Behavior Plans, Behavior Support Plans, Behavior Guidelines, Behavior Assessments, and Transition Plans.
  • Collaboratively working with ABA Academy's clinical team of Instructor Therapists and the Clinical Supervisor to monitor the quality and consistent delivery of the program.
  • Abiding by Ontario Autism Program (OAP) guidelines, along with ABA Academy's standards, policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Master's degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) or working towards its completion.
  • Possess your Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification or are working to obtain it.
  • 4 years of experience working as an Instructor Therapist delivering needs-based ABA services to children with ASD and developmental exceptionalities.
  • 1 year of experience as a Senior Therapist providing clinical and program supervision, assessment, and direct service.
  • Proven work history following OAP guidelines, company protocols, policies and procedures while delivering clinical ABA interventions.
  • Outstanding communicator who is personable, collaborative, receptive to constructive feedback, and navigates difficult staff and client conversations with ease and professionalism.
  • Exceptional organization and time management skills to effectively manage your caseload and work successfully on your own.
  • Technically versed in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint), Google Workspace and any productivity apps (Asana, Slack).
  • Valid G drivers' license, access to a vehicle and are willing to travel throughout the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
  • Available to work overtime occasionally on weekends and/or evenings based on clients' and staff needs.
  • Willing to provide a vulnerable sector police check (not older than 6 months) and possess your First Aid/CPR certification.
