Clinical Manager- Full-Time, Permanent

Job Status: This is a full-time position.

Salary: $68,000-$80,000

Schedule: 7-hour shift, Monday to Friday

Requirements

  • Post-Secondary Bachelors Degree in Health Care or a relevant field required, Masters Degree preferred
  • Registered healthcare professional including:
  • College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO), College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO), College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO), College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPO), Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW).
  • 3-5 years' Clinical Management, or similar experience
  • Demonstrated ability to courteously and respectfully assist clients, family members and the community with genuine care and concern while upholding and preserving their privacy
  • Excellent teamwork and team building skills
  • Sound leadership, staff management, and teambuilding skills
  • High degree of resourcefulness, flexibility, and adaptability
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Politically and culturally sensitive
  • High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and/or reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts
  • Strong morals and ethics, along with a commitment to staff privacy

Summary

The Clinical Supervisor, under the direction of the Executive Director, is responsible for the organization, development, and management of Counselling Centre East Algoma's programs and services, including cost management, personnel, materials, productivity and quality of work. The supervisor is expected to ensure that all clients are receiving the required care, and that all required policies and procedures are being followed in accordance with applicable legislation.

Job Duties

Management Team

Collaborate with various Counselling Centre East Algoma departments and programs to:

  • Ensure the clinic is running smoothly at all times and has all the required resources
  • Schedule staff to ensure that all areas of the clinic are equipped with trained professionals
  • Build and maintain sustainable relationships with staff, management, volunteers, the community, clients and families
  • Ensure that staffing meets client needs in a fiscally responsible manner
  • Collaborate with all levels and programs to facilitate change and create cost efficiency
  • Revising existing policies and procedures, as necessary, and monitor the adherence/compliance to them within Counselling Centre East Algoma

Supervision

  • Supervise client care and promote inter-disciplinary client care planning and education
  • Support the Professionals in their role of service providers
  • Ensure all documentation is up to date and being managed appropriately
  • Demonstrate leadership in support of departmental needs and serve as a clinical resource
  • Collaborate with various Professionals to ensure smooth and efficient client care
  • Ensure staff development, orientation and training
  • Conduct objective and constructive performance reviews, including clinical reviews as scheduled
  • Act as a liaison among staff and other stakeholders to ensure that goals are achieved, processes are improved and resolutions are provided to problems
  • Other duties may be assigned as required
