Summary

As a Construction Coordinator you will be responsible for handling and disbursement of various documents required by municipalities and internal departments such as drafting, estimating, and construction. As the main point of contact for internal support, you will be responsible for timing, validity, and accuracy of all documents leaving internal operations.

Job Duties – high level:

  • Building and Development Permit applications
  • Coordination of pre-construction documentation.
  • Permit approval communications
  • New Home Warranty applications
  • Completion of digital and physical construction release packages to trades and site staff including management of web portal documents
  • Plan printing and construction package assembly
  • Applications for site ID's required for site energy servicing
  • Management of utility retailer enrolments
  • Mitigating issues from energy providers including communication with site staff.
  • Completion of weekly production report – permits, releases, etc.
  • BuilderMT supplier, job, and lot detail management/upkeep
  • Recording milestone dates in pre-construction schedule
  • Support Customer Care to ensure sufficient coverage during holidays.
  • Seasonal construction tracking
  • Support Director of Construction and Construction Manager
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Duties – specific:

Reporting:

  • Updates to construction production/scheduling milestones as required
  • Completion of weekly field operations and status reports
  • Completion of annual deficiencies report
  • Seasonal and deficiency tracking assistance
  • Safety document communication and tracking assistance

Estimating support:

  • Field PO creation & processing
  • Back Charge creation & processing
  • Coding & processing of field supply invoices

Communication/ Admin:

  • Central communication between Construction and Estimating.
  • Trouble shooting, redirecting inquiries to estimators and administrative support for site supervisors.
  • Communication and coordination of engineering documents to site staff and municipal authorities including updating of documents in web portal.
  • Coordination & disbursement of communications sent by site personnel & trades.
  • Safety document uploading.
  • Creation of trade contact sheets by area
  • Assisting construction manager with specialized memo / document creation and disbursement

Project Support:

  • Project planning, organization, and tracking.
  • On-going support/ data entry for Estimating team and related projects.
  • Continued research, editing and development of communication materials such as manuals, contracts, and reports.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma
  • Post-Secondary Education considered an asset
  • Experience in the construction industry is an asset
  • Experience working in a teamwork atmosphere
  • Microsoft Office skills are an asset
  • Excellent Communication Skills (verbal & written)
  • Strong work ethic – self motivated
