We are currently seeking a PR & Events Coordinator who is passionate about our purpose, resourceful and curious, and loves to think big to join us on our journey. The PR & Events Coordinator is a member of the Canadian Marketing team, reporting directly to the PR & Events Manager. This individual is responsible for supporting all PR and influencer marketing strategies, events and activations.

Key Responsibilities:

PUBLIC RELATIONS AND INFLUENCER MARKETING:

  • Support public relations strategy to enhance brand image, awareness and desire, ultimately driving conversion to sales through digital content.
  • Support PR Manager and agency team with daily PR functions: New product launches, events, press functions, product requests, social media initiatives, etc.
  • Assist with the tracking and scheduling of media and influencer treatments in Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal locations as required.
  • Support with the vetting and identification process of influencers with a broad spectrum of media and influencers across traditional and social channels (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.)
  • Lead the product ordering for influencers and media partners.
  • Manage product send-outs for influencer and media partners as well as support with large-scale seeding programs.
  • Assist with managing timelines, mailer lists and execution of mailers for various product launches and ongoing programs.
  • Support PR team as directed by carrying out administrative tasks and assignments in a timely manner.
  • Lead the monitoring of influencer content including conducting Tribe Dynamic checks and campaign set-up.
  • Coordinate cross-functionality within the organization including Marketing, Sales, Education and Operations.
  • Support the Canadian trade Make-up Artist program and Professional Skin Therapist seeding programs.
  • Keep on top of the latest digital social innovations, trends, launches and up-and-coming influencers.
  • Manage corporate communications calendar for LinkedIn.
  • Spearheads brand purpose and value initiatives.
  • Manage the Skinfluencer program with support and approvals from the PR & Events Manager.

EVENTS AND ACTIVATIONS:

  • Responsible for event support across professional and consumer channels:
    • B2B: Trade shows, innovation events, etc.
    • B2C: Flagships, masterclasses, sponsorships, etc.
  • Source and manage external support as needed (catering, photography, DJ's, etc.)
  • Responsible for securing quotes and working alongside the PR & Events Manager to ensure all programs are operating within budget
  • Collect, process and contribute to event summaries and photos
  • Develop timely and detailed post-mortems highlighting successes, learnings and opportunities to leverage for future activations

Qualifications:

  • BA degree or post-secondary education in PR, Communications and/or Events
  • 1-3+ years of working experience as a PR and Events Coordinator in consumer-packaged goods industry, preferably for a professional beauty/skin brand
  • Previous PR Agency experience is an asset but not a must have
  • Existing knowledge of the Canadian media landscape
  • Experience working with Canadian beauty/lifestyle influencers on earned and paid programs
  • Exceptional verbal and written English communication and presentation skills; French bilingual a plus but not essential
  • Above average proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Previous experience with influencer management software including Traackr and Tribe
  • Comfortable working with numbers and analyzing ROI
  • A strategic thinker with a strong business acumen
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent time management and organization skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Creative outlook, passion and enthusiasm for events and influencer relations
  • Possess a “can do” attitude
  • Self-motivated personality that embraces change, challenge and organization
  • Demonstrate a strong team mentality and ability to work well with others
  • Knowledge of the professional beauty industry and B2B/B2C model is an asset
  • Live in the GTA

Working conditions: Additional hours working evenings and weekends as business needs dictate. Ability to lift up to 20lbs.
