Reporting to the President, the Finance & Accounting Manager is accountable for providing strategic leadership, accounting, and business support to the company. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Participating in the development of and support the company's strategic plans.

• Monitoring the financial performance of the company.

• Compiling and analyzing financial reporting packages.

• Managing cashflow.

• Preparing monthly and annual operating budgets.

• Developing and managing financial controls in accordance with the company's procedures.

• Communicating financial metrics to senior management.

• Providing leadership and guidance for the accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.

• Working closely with commercial finance.

• Managing the preparation of payroll for personnel.

• Preparing and submitting government remittances.

• Managing the IT function through external business partners.

• Managing the Insurance program.

• Managing relationship with and provide timely submissions to external financial partners, including auditors and tax consultants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, Accounting, Finance or related discipline

• Accounting designation, or an equivalent combination of related experience and education

• 7+ years accounting experience in a senior accounting or financial management role

• Strong IT skills, experience with Microsoft Business Central an asset.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Strong organizational skills

• Self-motivated and self-directed
